In the past few days, a number of Nokia handsets have been spotted on Zauba, a logistics website that track imports and exports in India, for inter-company evaluation and testing. Earlier today, another mysterious Nokia device carrying a screen size of 5.2-inch, with model number RM-964 landed in India for testing and evaluation from Finland.
The filing doesn’t reveal any specifications of the purported handset, it just mentions that its a touchscreen device measuring 5.2 inches with single SIM support. The only interesting thing it reveals is that it could be a high-end device considering its price of Rs. 34524 mentioned in the listing.
Rumors are flying around that it could be the international variant of Nokia Lumia 929, which is not yet official, and expected to hit Verizon in the coming days. It’s basically a trimmed down version of the Nokia Lumia 1520 phablet, carrying a similar set of specifications packed inside a smaller body including a 5-inch 1080p display, 20MP camera with PureView technology and Snapdragon 800 on board.
It seems Nokia is planning to launch a bunch of devices — including Nokia Normandy, Nokia Lumia 1820, Nokia 8.3 Windows RT tablet, etc. — early next year, as @evleaks also tweeted several Nokia devices codenames, which will see the daylight in the coming months. But, let me remind you, it’s just a speculation. It could be any other device the Finnish maker is expected to launch in the coming months, or there’s also a chance that this device may never show up.
