You’ve probably heard about the Samsung Galaxy S4 fiasco in which a Galaxy S4 literally caught fire while it was charging. Even though Samsung has been making their best efforts to keep this news under the rug, they haven’t exactly been successful. Richard Wygand is the owner of the flammable phone, and he took his issue to social media to make the problem known.
In response to Wygand’s tweet, Nokia decided to play the hero and offer Wygand a [easyazon-link asin=”B00COYOAYW” locale=”us”]Nokia Lumia[/easyazon-link] phone so he could experience how “customer experience should *really* work.”
Although Samsung agreed to replace the phone, they are coming under fire (pun intended) for demanding Wygand remove the video and photos from his social networks. Wygand was not pleased with this agreement, so he continued his efforts to notify the public of the phone’s hazards.
Check out the videos below to see what Wygand has been up to.
So, what do you guys think of this Samsung controversy? I think this was a good move on Nokia’s part.
