The GamePad, a steel-framed controller can hold devices ranging in size from 4 inches to 6.3 inches, so you could even get a phablet in there. The GamePad wraps around your phone and adds knobs and buttons to your gameplay.
In terms of compatibility, the controller will work with any device running Android 4.1 or higher but according to Samsung, it’s optimized for Galaxy devices running Android 4.3 or higher. NFC connectivity is the easiest pairing option.
To use the controller, the user simply launches Samsung’s Mobile Console app via the Play button which enables users to browse and buy games for the GamePad. There are currently 35 games available for purchase including Need for Speed Most Wanted, Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour and Prince of Persia: The Shadow and the Flame. More games will be available in 2014, so keep on the lookout.
Only problem is, the GamePad is currently only available in select European countries, but Samsung says it will launch in additional regions within the coming weeks.
