We knew NVIDIA would be announcing new mobile processors at the CES and true enough the company opens with unveiling a few models. First to be introduced is the 192-core GPU-based Tegra K1 processor that offers Unreal Engine 4 and OpenGL 4.4 support.
The Tegra K1 also promises a higher dynamic range, global illumination, and real-time computing. You can choose from either of the two: a 64-bit 2.5GHz dual-core Denver CPU and a 32-bit 2.3GHz “4-plus-1″ A15 CPU. No information on availability yet, unfortunately, but expect these on upcoming smartphones and tablets this 2014.
