You can definitely say Samsung had a productive couple of days at CES 2014 in Las Vegas. If only that Michael Bay boob would have been able to “wing” his speech. Oh, well, what’s done is done and it’s time to look towards the future.
Already? Hey, it’s Samsung we’re talking about here, and they have a release quota of half a dozen products each month or so. As such, the Koreans are tipped to take February’s Mobile World Congress by storm too, likely with the Galaxy S5, Tab 3 Lite and Grand Neo.
Of the three, the Neo is by far the least exciting, so ultimately and based on fresh gossip, its announcement may happen a little earlier. Apparently, Sammy is eyeing a mid-February commercial launch in select European markets, so a subsequent MWC showing doesn’t make much sense.
Especially as the Grand Neo is rumored to be quite overpriced for what it has to offer, at €300 on the old continent and $300 stateside. If it ever makes its way to America. Here’s the meager list of features almost set in stone at this point:
- 5-inch WVGA TFT display
- Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex A7-based CPU
- 1 GB RAM
- Android 4.2 Jelly Bean
- 8 GB built-in storage
- 5 MP rear-facing camera with LED
- VGA front snapper
- Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0
- 2,100 mAh battery
- 143.7 x 77.1 x 9.6 mm dimensions
