Since Samsung was one of the most active CES exhibitors earlier this month, showcasing no less than four new Galaxy “Pro” tablets, and a low-end, low-cost GTab 3 Lite became official soon after, everyone expected the Koreans to take a short break from product announcements.
Or at least slate announcements, as the Galaxy S5 is likely right around the corner. But boy, were we wrong.
Apparently, three other tabs, carrying the mysterious, nay baffling SM-T530, SM-T531 and SM-T535 model numbers, are to debut before long. Probably, in late February, at the Mobile World Congress.
The thing is, this time, Sammy might truly catch the entire world off guard. I mean, no one knows what this trio is all about. It could be a continuation of the Galaxy Tab Pro line, as the 10.1-inch member of the family has a somewhat similar alias: SM-T520.
Or they could replicate the GTab Pro specs to the letter, plus add Super AMOLED displays in the mix. But what would be the point? Finally, and please take this with a fistful of salt, we could be looking at a first ever Nexus 8 and second-gen Nexus 10.
Indian import data from Zauba proves the SM-T531 is a 10-incher and the other two 8-inchers, but that’s about all we have to support the wild theory. Assuming they’re not Nexus devices, is anyone up for moar Samsung Galaxy tabs? Not really, huh?
