The battle between Apple and Samsung definitely won’t be over soon. Patent infringement lawsuits will only continue to come out from both camps. The recent blow is in favor of Samsung as it recently ‘won’ in the US District Court for the Northern District of California with a ruling that the South Korean giant did not used confidential information by Apple. The courts says Samsung did not spy on Apple and Nokia.
Samsung is believed to have known information and employees received copies of Apple documents but, of course, the company denied this. The documents in question are said to include patent deals with Philips, Sharp, Ericsson, and Nokia. Apparently, they are for attorneys only but Samsung managed to see whatever is written there.
So Samsung won’t receive sanctions. The company escaped another legal battle. I wonder what the next chapter of the saga will include.
