There are several variants of the Samsung Galaxy S4, actually I don’t even remember the number. Anyway, it seems they were not enough as Samsung has announced another version of last year’s flagship device, [easyazon-link asin=”B00CRNW3ZI” locale=”us”]Galaxy S4[/easyazon-link], in Black — and there’s a new Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini as well in the same color.
The difference? There are no major differences in terms of specifications, but the recently announced handset comes with a faux leather back, similar to the one found inside the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. In addition, there’s a similar Mini version of the handset as well. Both handsets are set to debut in Russia for almost $660 next month. On the other hand, the Galaxy S4 mini Black Edition is set to cost $460 in the country.
In terms of specifications, the handset features similar specifications to the LTE version with model number GT-I9505 and will come with a quad-core Snapdragon 600 SoC, 2GB of RAM, 16GB internal storage with a microSD card slot, a 2,600 mAh battery, 13MP camera for photos and videos and runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean pre-installed out of the box.
On the other hand, the Galaxy S4 mini features a 4.3-inch dislay, a dual-core Snapdragon 400 with a clock speed of 1.7GHz, 1.5 GB RAM, 8 GB internal storage, 8 MP camera, micro-SD slot, a 1,900 mAh battery and runs the same Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean as its OS.
