I almost forgot that Microsoft is busy with searching for a new CEO but the software giant now has a successor for Steve Ballmer. The company’s third CEO is Satya Nadella. I’m not familiar with the guy but he was the one responsible for leading Microsoft in the enterprise and cloud game. Thank heavens for Twitter I got to know the guy a bit, of course, in a funny way.
Nadella has been with Microsoft for 22 years. So Microsoft didn’t get an outsider which is a good thing. I think it’s better if someone from within helps the company instead of a newcomer. Satya Nadella could be Microsoft’s hero. More notably, he pushed the Office 365 platform aside from the cloud storage solutions now being offered by Microsoft.
Here’s what Nadella has to say about his new assignment:
“Our industry does not respect tradition – it only respects innovation. The opportunity ahead for Microsoft is vast, but to seize it, we must move faster, focus and continue to transform. I see a big part of my job as accelerating our ability to bring innovative products to our customers more quickly.”
