BlackBerry is still in the smartphone business, darling. Rumor has it that a phone named “Ontario” will be released soon after being spotted at benchmark site Geekbench. It’s said to be a high-end smartphone that runs 2.15GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 MSM8974.
The Ontario is believed to be just one model under the “O” series, different from the “W” and “B” series but all three will have the same quad-core Snapdragon 800 MSM8974.
The rumored phone is believed to launch next year complete with a 4G/LTE modem, 64 bit octa-core 2.5GHz CPU, 4GB RAM, and Adreno 430 GPU.
BlackBerry is still a struggling company but the Canadian smartphone pioneer seems to be hopeful it will have a winner with the Ontario phone. We’ll see about that.
