Nokia X aka Normandy is already under the spotlight as it’s rumored to launch with a forked version of Android, and might see the light of the day later this month at the Mobile World Congress 2014.
Now, another report has surfaced from Chinese shores, citing “inside sources” from Artesyn Technologies, that suggest Nokia is working on multiple handsets with Android as their operating system and may launch them later this year.
The report continues to say that Nokia will launch several new Android-based handsets by summers, possibly in May or June, and also suggest Nokia X will launch with an affordable price tag of almost 1500 yuan in China (almost around $250 in the US), which I think is pretty high based on the rumored specifications of the device.
Anyway, let’s just take this report with a pinch of salt, it’s just another rumor and I’m not sure if it’s reasonable to put your entire faith in it. MWC 2014 is not very far, and I guess we’ll find out if all the rumors about the Nokia X are correct or not.
