Lately I’ve been listening to all my fitness-happy friends talk about the best heart rate monitor on the market. From what my under-exercised self can gather, a fancy heart rate monitor that straps around your chest is necessary for a proper, pro-level workout, and you’re a loser if you don’t have one.
The fancy doo-dads usually come with an equally fancy watch that syncs to the band for easy-access to the information gathered by the doo-dad. Then, if I’m not mistaken, exercising humans then use this information to get fitter. Am I correct, thus far?
Well gosh, it sounds like kind of a pain in the arse to have to strap something onto your self before every workout. If only there were a better way for us girls to collect this mystical information without such a hassle.
Well, hey! NuMetrex has a way better idea. The [easyazon-link asin=”B00AVYW9SQ” locale=”us”]Adidas miCoach Seamless Sports Bra/Tank Vest[/easyazon-link] skips a step! As long as you plan to put on a bra and/or shirt before your workout (I highly recommend not skipping that step unless you want your girls to scream in pain) you already plan to attach your heart rate monitor to your chest.
The bra has sensor fibers built into the fabric and the transmitter snapps into the pocket of the front of the bra. It pairs with your smartphone, but you can also buy that fancy watch we were talking about early, like the Adidas Smart Run.
I haven’t touched on the most important thing, yet: It’s cute! You better believe this thing makes me want to work out. At the very least, I’ll throw this baby on and hit the park for an invigorating walk past the basketball courts where men don’t bother wearing shirts.
Speaking of men, I don’t suppose they’d want to wear a heart rate monitoring bra, would they? It seems as though they’ll have to just stick with the original strap. How inconvenient to have to strap something extra to your chest every day! [Facetious wink.]
