It’s probably a little late to buy your special someone a special something for Valentine’s Day, but it’s never a bad idea to get a jump on gift shopping for future special occasions. Especially when you can make a good deal and, in the long run, save a bit of money.
Nokia’s Lumia 925 is up for grabs via Newegg, probably for a limited time only, for an incredibly low $279.99. That’s off-contract, mind you, though technically this is a T-Mobile phone, so it can just be used on the “Uncarrier”.
Small inconvenience, I’m sure you’ll agree, since most other retailers charge $400 for the 4.5-inch Windows Phone. T-Mo? Nothing upfront, but $21 each month for two full years, adding up to a whopping $504.
So we’re looking at $225 or, worst case scenario, $120 savings. Forget about presents, this should be your next mobile device. Granted, it’s slightly behind the times in the processing speed department, packing an aging dual-core Snapdragon S4 CPU, but it’s also LTE-enabled.
And it comes with 1 GB RAM in tow, a 720p AMOLED display, spacious 2,000 mAh battery, as well as top-notch 8 MP camera with Carl Zeiss optics and optical image stabilization. Oh, yes, it’s covered in aluminum too. How cool is that?
