We already predicted the Sony PS4 would be more popular than the Xbox One. Sony’s goal last year was to sell five million PlayStation 4 units before the fiscal year ends and as of February 8, 5.3 million PS4s have been sold around the world. This is even before it launches in Japan.
The gaming console may have originated from Japan being Sony’s mother land but it will only be available in the market this February 22.
It was only launched November last year but the Sony [easyazon-link asin=”B00BGA9WK2″ locale=”us”]PS4[/easyazon-link] is flying off the shelves. That’s despite a few kinks met along the way.
About 4.2 million units were sold before 2013 came to a close and another million just last January. That’s really impressive coming from Sony I doubt Microsoft’s [easyazon-link asin=”B00CMQTVUA” locale=”us”]Xbox One[/easyazon-link] can catch up.
No mention how many gaming console units were sold exactly in the US alone but the worldwide sales figure is enough to convince us of its popularity. Expect more millions to be sold once it’s out in the Japanese market. I’m sure of that.
