Huawei today, at the Mobile World Congress 2014 has pulled the wraps off its latest smartphone, the Huawei Ascend G6 4G. According to Huawei, the Ascend G6 aims to bring back ease of use to the smartphone and as such gives the device a 4.5-inch qHD display, 5M front-facing camera and Emotion UI 2.0.
Featuring a slim 7.85mm dimension and weighing only 115g, the Huawei Ascend G6 will be available in two models, black with light gunmetal or rose gold highlights and black with white pink or champagne gold highlights. Aside from the 4G version, the device will also be 3G model with a slimmer body. The Huawei Ascend G6 is packed with quad-core 1.2 GHz processor, 2000 mAh battery, and 4G LTE capability.
Another good thing going for the Huawei Ascend G6 has got to be its 5MP front-facing camera since we rarely see smartphones having that camera capability. Additionally, said camera features Huawei’s proprietary self-focus tips and preview screen. It has four plastic element (4P) lens that provides audo controlled spontaneous snapping, auto-scene recognition and auto-facial enhancement. It also features an 88 degree wide-angle shooting. The Huawei Ascend G6’s 8MP rear camera is fully featured as well. It has five plastic elements (5P) lens, voice-activated hands-free “selfie” function, built-in Sony IMX134 sensor, blue glass infrared filter and integrated flash.
No words on pricing yet, but the Huawei Ascend G6 will be released sometime in Q1 2014 while the Ascend G6 4G will be released in April 2014.
