Nokia isn’t giving up marketing their smartphones. And why would it if they know the Lumia phones are so good? The Lumia 1020 and Lumia 1520 models will be taken to the North Polo for a journey. Explorer Eric Larsen and other adventurers are given Windows tablets and Nokia Lumias to bring and use.
The adventure will include crossing from Northern Ellesmere Island to the Arctic Ocean and then to the North Pole. The team will travel complete with their clothing, food, and gadgets and–hoping to survice the -50 weater. What better way to capture the moments with their Nokia Lumia Windows Phone devices.
The software giant Microsoft wants to test the smartphones. It’s obviously a marketing gimmick. Eric Larsen is expected to upload photos regularly to update us and for the whole world to see throughout the journey. Everyday, he will provides updates through videos, photos, podcasts, and Twitter updates. You can say this is a sponsored journey. Pretty much like Samsung sponsoring the Oscars and bringing the most retweeted and high-profile selfie ever.
