ZTE is capable of extraordinary things, they proved it with the Grand S and Grand Memo last year, but they’re also prone to flops. Just look at the 2014 Iconic Phablet, aka Boost Max, Grand Memo 2 LTE, Open C and Open II.
The Chinese OEM’s next flagship Android device is destined to sit somewhere in between, at least based on the handheld’s first online listing. Dubbed Grand S Ext (yes, Sext), this thing isn’t officially out, and lacks any sort of availability information.
But it’s so sexy I’m inclined to ignore both the ludicrous moniker and the fact the phone might actually not be real. Nothing happening yet, but I’ll keep you posted.
For the record, the website that revealed the high-quality product images is no obscure blog, or plunging publication looking to score free publicity by making up bogus stories. It’s instead some sort of international design directory, as reliable as they come.
Bottom line, odds are we’re indeed dealing with a genuine smartphone, due out in a few months. Maybe weeks. With Nano Molding Technology, a crafting method that uses a unique plastic – metal blend for affordability and premium build quality. Sweet!
