No way you’re thinking of buying the two-year-old Samsung Galaxy S3 anymore, as the thing’s threequel is just about ready to hit the ground running, right? But what if I make you an offer you can’t refuse? Well, not me, I’m only the messenger.
The ones cutting you the deal of a lifetime are the folks over at Virgin Mobile, which for a limited time charge an almost inexplicably low $224.99 for the 4G LTE-enabled Galaxy S3. Free of contractual obligations too, though obviously the phone will work solely on Virgin’s network, with prepaid plans.
Exactly how sweet is the promo? Let’s put it this way, Virgin used to sell the GS3 at 400 bucks a measly four months ago, dropping that to $320 for 2013’s Black Friday. Meanwhile, most online retailers still list the S3 at north of $300 outright.
And sure, the handheld is old, but it’s on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean already, with a 4.4 KitKat upgrade looming large on the horizon.
Want something even cheaper? Virgin has you covered, shaving 25% off multiple other Android smartphones, including LG’s Optimus F3 4G LTE (previously $130, now $80), the HTC Desire (up for grabs at $210), Virgin Mobile Supreme ($225), and Samsung Galaxy Reverb ($80).
