Who doesn’t love a good deal? We’re always on the lookout for great gadget deals even if we know that all mobile devices out there aren’t for your liking. I’m not a fan of the Surface tablet either but AT&T is about to launch a 64GB LTE model of the Microsoft Surface 2 as we also mentioned last week. The Microsoft Windows tablet will arrive tomorrow, March 18, for $679. The leaked details turned out to be true after all.
Obviously, the $679 price tag is higher than the WiFi-only Surface 2 tablet. The price is for the unlocked version but you would have to get a micro-SIM from AT&T. Actually, you can also use a micro-SIM from T-Mobile but do not expect software updates to be available from the network.
The LTE Microsoft Surface 2 tablet from AT&T, ironically, cannot be purchased from AT&T directly. You can get the Windows tablet PC from any Microsoft Store, MicrosoftStore.com, or Best Buy. Freebies include unlimited landline and Skype calls, as well as, 200GB free OneDrive storage. As for the specs, the Surface 2 boasts of a 10.6-inch screen, 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution display, 2GB RAM, Tegra 4 CPU processor, and a 10-hour battery life.
Who’s getting one?
