The smartwatch industry is just in its early stage but a lot of manufacturers are already joining the bandwagon. Unofficially, Apple started it with the iPod Nano converted into a watch. That gave companies the idea to work on a working smartwatch. There are a few popular ones like the Pebble and the Galaxy Gear but since Samsung is on top of the Android game, more people want to get the Galaxy smartwatch.
For those who live in Canada, you can easily get your hands on the Galaxy Gear smartwatch as Bell recently launched a new promo: the smartwatch is now only $99.97 –that’s down from the original $349.99 price. This move is somewhat expected as Samsung already introduced the Galaxy Gear 2 and Galaxy Gear Neo as follow-up.
Bell Canada’s $99 Galaxy Gear is even cheaper than the $150 Pebble. The latter is the Galaxy Gear’s main rival and looks like the competition will be even tighter. If you plan on getting one from Bell, remember that you can only get three units per transaction.
The affordable price set by Bell is expect to be followed by carriers in the US. The cheapest Galaxy Gear we saw in the US lately was when Best Buy sold the smartwatch for only $149.99 for only one day. We’ll be watching.
