Remember the Nokia X Android-running phone? Yes, that highly-anticipated Android smartphone by Nokia we last saw at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain. Well, looks like Nokia’s marketing efforts have paid off as the company received about one million pre-orders for the Nokia Android phone. Impressive…
The big number is for pre-orders in China and within four days only. Like me, I’m sure you’re waiting for a Nokia and Android love-child. It’s now here in the form of the Nokia X. The Android phone boasts of a 4-inch LCD display, 4GB built-in storage, 233ppi pixel density, 480 x 800 pixel resolution, 512MB RAM, a dual-core 1GHz Snapdragon S4 chip, 3 megapixel camera, and a 1500mAh battery.
One million orders for a Nokia X Android phone is a lot. I’m not really sure if Nokia can keep up with the demand but the company better deliver. The smartphone is slated for a Chinese market release first but other countries are expected to soon follow.
An Android-powered Nokia could be the next big thing. If only Nokia tried this mobile operating system first before working on Windows Phone for Lumia, then Nokia wouldn’t be facing many problems right now. An Android-packed Nokia smartphone is worth a try.
