Moto G Forte

A few days back, @evleaks tweeted out an image of a durable version of the Moto G dubbed as Moto G Forte. Well, the handset is now available for sale in Mexico, and it’s the same Moto G we know, but with a grip shell for improved grip and protection. It is a more durable version of the Moto G, or should I say rugged. As far as the availability is concerned, the Moto G Forte is available from Nextel Mexico, with no word about its launch on other carriers.

The new Moto G Forte brings the same internals as the standard version, and rocks a 4.5-inch display sporting a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 400 SoC clocked at 1.2GHz with 1GB of RAM. On the storage side, it comes with 8GB and 16GB options, unfortunately, without a microSD card slot. Other features include 5MP camera for photos and videos, a 1.3MP front-facing camera, a 2,070 mAh battery and ships with the latest Android 4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box.

The handset is currently available in Mexico only, but if you want protection like this, you may have to shell out an extra $20 for the Grip Shell case which is available directly from Motorola.
