LG is weird. The company tends to reveal trivial stuff about unreleased products all the time, like what ringtones they’ll offer or the uber-vague launch timeline that’s no secret to anyone. Their latest peculiar stunt sees the G Pad 8.3 get three new spin-offs with literally no precise information attached to their names.
No specs, no pricing, no release date. We just know the G Pad 7.0 is “designed to be held in one hand”, the 8.0 offers an “immersive multimedia experience and smooth multitasking” and the 10.1 “endless hours of entertainment and fun”.
You don’t say, LG? What’s next, a press release announcing the G Pad 10.1 sports a “vibrant” 10.1-inch display?
Oh, well, at least it won’t be long until the trio will be pictured in the wild, previewed and, hopefully, detailed. Specifically, look for the G Pad 7.0, 8.0 and 10.1 on display in Monaco, at MedPI 2014, between May 13 and 16.
Obviously due out in a palette of colors including white, black and blue, the fresh G Pads shall no doubt run Android 4.4 KitKat, seasoned with proprietary software features like QPair 2.0 and KnockCode. Personally, I’d expect the largest member of the family to up G Pad 8.3’s hardware and pricing ante, whereas the mid-sized and diminutive versions should keep costs relatively in check.
