How about a wearable remote control for your head? Perceptive Devices, and its prospective partners, want to deliver you one.

Perceptive Devices - Logo RGBAt CE Week, to be held June 25 and 26 in New York, the company will introduce and demo a head-worn wearable device that it says allows you to control devices such as desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones and smart TVs in a hands-free, voice-free and mouse-free manner.

It calls its patent-pending technology PERCEPT-D, and says it can be embedded inside smart glasses, phone and music headsets, and head-mounted device/augmented reality headsets. Beyond consumer applications, the company says the technology can be used in gaming, medical, surgical, industrial, transportation, logistics, military and emergency services scenarios as well.

The consumer-oriented products are planned for release in the third quarter. Meanwhile, PERCEPT-D is available for licensing to other manufacturers.

We can’t wait to see this in action later this month.
