If you happen to be a regular user of Facebook, you be glad to know the app has received an update on Android and iOS. While the changes in both versions are different, they will be welcomed by Facebook users across the globe.
Starting with the iOS app, the App store listing mentions it brings reliability and speed improvements, but it has more to offer to its users, according to TechCrunch. The social networking giant also added a few new features to the Nearby Friends section, which are not listed in the change log since Nearby friends is only available for users in the US at the moment.
As for its Android counterpart, the latest update brings a handful of improvements and new features to the app. You’ll be able to like posts, pages and photos even if you’re offline. In addition, it also gives users the ability to remove tags from within the app, a feature which was missing from the app. Here’s a complete change log of Facebook for Android:
- Like posts, photos and Pages when you’re offline
- Remove tags you’ve created
- Remove tags of yourself that your friends have created
- Turn post notifications on and off
- Improvements for speed and reliability
