Xiaomi, a Chinese OEM who is also called the “Apple of China”, may launch its latest flagship device this month. Xiaomi’s executive posted a teaser on Weibo about the company’s annual product launch event for this year where the company is expected to unveil the rumored Mi4 handset. The event will take place on July 22nd, and the teaser image shows a giant “4” along with a tagline that says, “The journey of a piece of steel metal.”
Earlier this month, some images of the alleged Xiaomi MI4 made their way to the internet, revealing the metal design of the handset. The teaser further strengthens the belief of those waiting for the handset. As far as the specifications are concerned, rumors suggest we may get a 5.2-inch display, a quad-core Snapdragon 805 SoC, 3GB of RAM and 16GB storage, with Xiaomi’s MIUI interface running on Android 4.4 KitKat.
The company is also expanding to international markets, mostly emerging ones, lately. Recently, the company announced their Mi3 in India at an incredible Rs. 14,999 price, which is too attractive considering the hardware the device has to offer.
Anyway, we’ll update you if the rumors about the Xiaomi Mi4 pan out on July 22nd.
