The Google Nexus 8 tablet is said to be in the pipeline, with the task reportedly given to HTC. We’ve seen reports hinting that HTC is manufacturing the upcoming Nexus tablet, with a codename HTC Volantis. Not too long ago, the well-connected @evleaks dropped some information about the specifications of the alleged tablet.
Recently, some concept images of the rumored Google Nexus 8, created based on the leaked information available on the internet, were spotted online. The concept images looks quite similar to the Nexus 7, but with Android L as its operating system.
Rumors suggest Google Nexus 8 will rock a 8.9-inch display sporting a resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels, and should come with a 64-bit Tegra K1 processor with 2GB of RAM — some rumors also suggest that it could be 5GB, but it’s not confirmed — and 16/32GB of storage on board.
Other rumored features include 8MP camera for photos and videos, 3MP front-facing camera, BoomSound speakers, and should come with Android L as its operating system. Evleaks mentioned the tablet is in testing, and some reports suggested it has landed in India for the same purpose as well.
Anyway, there’s no word about the launch of the tablet from the company itself. In the meantime, head over to the source link below to view some more concept renders.
