The world’s first Quad HD display-toting smartphone to come from a mobile industry brand name, LG’s G3, has barely been up for grabs stateside a couple of weeks. Yet Best Buy already offers it at half the list price with two-year contracts, or bundled with a nice complimentary $100 gift card when purchased on Sprint Easy Pay, Verizon Edge or AT&T Next.
So yeah, if you choose to sign up to a 24-month pact on either of the three networks mentioned above, all you need to cough up in advance is $100. Apparently, Amazon matches Best Buy’s deal, although they don’t really have a response for the other promotion.
I’m talking about the one where you pay nothing upfront for the G3, and BB still finds the motivation to sweeten the deal, throwing in a free $100 coupon, which can only be used in brick and mortar stores.
Of course, in the long haul, the beautiful, slim-bezeled 5.5-inch handheld will still have to be paid in full, at a rate of roughly $25 a month over two years. The grand total is $699.99, of which BB practically shaves off $100 at the very beginning of your “collaboration” with the retailer. Not bad, given the LG G3 is hands down the coolest, punchiest Android gizmo around. At least until Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 rolls out.
