Google Shopping Express has added its 19th partner: Barnes & Noble. The bookstore’s partnership with Google provides both companies a greater ability to compete against Amazon.
Shopping Express allows customers in certain markets to order items for delivery from retail stores. With Barnes & Noble now one of those stores, people can order books, just like they can on Amazon.
Unless people happen to be in areas where Amazon offers same-day shipping, Shopping Express may be a better way to order books since it always provides same-day deliveries.
Barnes & Noble’s books will officially be available to customers in Manhattan, West Los Angeles, and San Francisco beginning Thursday.
Other stores that have signed deals with Shopping Express include Costco, Target, and Walgreens, though Barnes & Noble is the first bookstore to work with Google in this way.
