Skooba Design introduced its new, American-made Type S-4 laptop and tablet bags, featuring “tactical/military-inspired styling and authentic ‘Mil Spec’ materials and parts” such as “1000 denier nylon exteriors, 400 denier pack cloth linings, matte black powder coated metal hardware, YKK zippers, and nylon webbing with massively-reinforced load-bearing points.”
The line, named after a military designation for logistics command, consists of the Laptop/Tablet Attaché and the Tablet Satchel.
The “slim yet roomy,” zip-top Laptop/Tablet Attaché ($159.95) can hold any notebook computer up to 15-inch screen size, or any size tablet or e-reader. A movable, padded divider panel with a padded sleeve is included in the main compartment. Its zippered front compartment includes pockets for portable devices, cords and accessories. Other features: “a no-twist strap with removable shoulder pad, hand-carry handles, a rear zip compartment, a trolley strap that slides over rollaboard luggage handles, and a numerous web and D-ring attachment points for clipping on luggage tags, carabiners, camera pouches,” etc.
The more compact, vertically-oriented Tablet Satchel ($129.95) “shares most of the features of the Attaché.”
These two models will ship in September, with additional products expected later this year.
