HTC has been transparent when it comes to releasing software updates for their handsets. The company has already rolled out the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update for the HTC One M8 in several regions, including a few carriers in the US as well. T-Mobile and AT&T have already released the Android 4.4.3 KitKat update, which also incorporates the bug fixes found inside the Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
If you’re a Verizon customer waiting for the update, you may have to wait for a little while before you can grab the update for your HTC One M8. In a response to customer, HTC America’s Jason Mackenzie mentioned that Android 4.4.3 will roll out for the Verizon variant by mid-September.
Don’t get disappointed since Android 4.4.3 isn’t the update you should be excited about. The update features mostly enhancements and bug fixes, including the ones introduces in the Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The one we should get excited about is the Android L, which is expected to bring a handful of changes on board, with an expected launch later this year.
