Following up on our post about the Sharp Aquos Crystal smartphone, Sprint has just announced its availability to Sprint customers for a measly $239 sans contract or $10 month via Sprint’s Easy Pay Plan or $149.99 via Sprint’s prepaid plan. Although undisclosed as to when this phone will actually become available, its features and relatively cheap price despite its excellent feature are more than enough to generate a much needed press hype.
Just as we told you, the Sharp Aquos Crystal will practically have no top or bottom bezels making it look cooler than most high-end phones available in the market today. Under the hood though, the Sharp Aquos Cystal seems lacking in might and power but then its more than enough for the price you’ll have to pay to own one of these smartphones. The device runs Android 4.4.2 KitKat and is powered by a 1.5GB of RAM, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 8MP rear-facing camera, 1.2MP front-facing cameras and 8GB of storage with microSD card slot for expansion.
Sprint has also thrown in a couple of software features such as the gesture-based screenshot tool and App Pass which is a subscription based app service, similar to Netflix. There’s also HD voice, Wi-Fi calling, Harmon Kardon audio enhancements and support for Spark LTE network. The Sharp Aquos Crystal smartphone packs in a 2040 mAh battery .
