A company called PowerSkin, which already makes protective cases, now promises to put a literal new spin on tablet stands. Come September 1, it’s going to be seeking Kickstarter crowdfunders to come along for the ride.
SpinPadGrip, for use with “most any” tablet, is positioned as a “universal, rotating stand-handle that allows the user to hold it, grip it, stand it, grab it, hang it and spin it.”
The product features an anti-slip foldable handle that allows the tablet to rotate 360 degrees and recline 180 degrees. “The user can easily adjust the perfect angle for conveniently typing, viewing pictures and videos, or presenting the screen to someone else,” says the company in a news release.
An open-and-lock suction tab enables the user to easily remove and securely reattach the tablet.
SpinPadGrip will be available in black as well as a limited edition run of 100 green and black stands, with more colors possible down the road. The company will sell the $50 product for $25 to its first 150 Kickstarter backers, The 100 green/black stands will go for a discounted price of $40.
