Well, it didn’t take LG that long to announce its latest take on the smartwatch market as the company officially puts the wraps off the LG G Watch R. Take note that this is not a follow-up to the LG G watch released not so long ago but a different iteration. In fact, it’s a stylish iteration of the LG G Watch.
Under the hood though, the LG G Watch R still rocks the same internals as the LG G Watch. These include the same Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB of RAM, and 4GB of storage. The LG G Watch R however has a bigger 410mAh battery specifically to provide more power to its 1.3-inch P-OLED display. Other features of the LG G Watch R include heart-rate monitor, leather strap and stainless steel body.
As far as the aesthetics go, the LG G Watch R looks stylish enough to be worn even on casual days unlike other smartwatches which are more sporty in appearance. But of course, no one is stopping you from wearing the smartwatch and using it while you ride your bike or do your regular runs.
The LG G Watch R will be available sometime in Q4. Pricing and other details are yet to be announced. But for those who will be attending IFA 2014 in Berlin, you might want to drop by the LG booth to get a glimpse of the LG G Watch R.
