There have been lots of changes in TV content distribution lately. With Apple shaking up the market offering new episodes of the ABC shows “Desperate Housewives” and “Lost” for $1.99 per episode, they’ve got the other companies and TV networks attempting similar things. Today, Nickelodeon has announced such a service.
Nick is working with toy maker Hasbro Inc. to offer their shows for download via Hasbro’s VuGo.com. The shows will work exclusively with Hasbro’s new VuGo portable media player, but it’s only a matter of time before someone figures out how to convert them to iPod format. I mean… don’t you want to watch “Rugrats” on your iPod? I know I do.
The VuGo media player sells for about $100.
