Earlier today, Skype announced their new partnerships with Creative, D-Link, IPEVO, Kodak, Netgear, Panasonic, and VTech. By working with these companies, Skype’s Internet Telephony service will be more widely available.
Kodak is the only company that Skype is partnering with that will offer a download as opposed to hardware. Kodak Photo Voice is their latest Skype-certified photo sharing service. By moving Skype off the desktop and into handsets, the free service becomes much more compelling and familiar so that it may appeal to a wider range of callers.
