Chatter BugIf you’re afraid to use VoIP because it’s too difficult to set up (which it’s not), Chatter Bug is for you. Chatter Bug is a device that connects to your analog land line phone. It works by detecting if you are dialing a local number (or 911) or a long-distance number. If you’re dialing a local number, you’re routed through your local phone provider…. however if you dial a long-distance number, you’re routed through Chatter Bug’s service. The service is only $9.99 per month. All you’ve got to do is buy it, plug it in to your existing phone, and register on their website. Sounds to me like a nice low-tech solution to cheaper long-distance.
