Microsoft LogoWho would have thought Microsoft would give in? The company will now license a “significant chunk” of the Windows operating system source code to corporate rivals. The code is from both their Windows workgroup server and desktop operating systems.

Microsoft Corp.’s said Tuesday it will license its Windows source code to comply with a European Union antitrust ruling. The source code provides the building blocks of the operating system that competitors need to make products compatible with Windows.

WOW what a shock. Will we now see the U.S. try again to break the compnay down?
