Sony eReader hits the market at $350

Sony Reader

Sony’s new eBook Reader, dubbed the Sony Portable Reader System (PRS-500), has hit the SonyStyle store with a pricetag of $350. The product was introduced by Sir Howard Stringer back in January at CES.

The reader is a 9 ounce tablet-looking device that can hold 10,000 books. They also announced Sony’s new eBook store which is available through their Connect service. The Reader supports RSS feeds, PDFs, and JPEGs. The screen is ePaper, not LCD, so the battery will last 7,200 page turns.
