Sling Media announces support for UMPC

Sling Media announced today that they have made a customized version of their SlingPlayer for the new UMPC / Origami / Digital Lifestyle PC platform. This is a great move by SlingMedia to jump on the UMPC bandwagon since the products are so hyped right now. With the new offering, you can connect to your SlingBox (which allows for location-free TV) with your UMPC while you’re on the go. According to Sling Media, the new application will make good use of the touchscreen and resolution of the Ultra-Mobile PC OS, “giving customers full control over their home television source, including the most popular cable boxes, satellite receivers, DVD players and digital video recorders (DVRs).”
