Early Thursday, viewers of Seagate’s website were shocked and exited to find the details for a 750GB 7200.10 Barracuda hard drive in an innocent looking PDF document.
Many of these details cannot be confirmed from Seagate’s website now, but the PDF which can be found at DailyTech, talks of buffers of 16MB and 8MB, 7200RPM spindles and an average seek time of 4.16ms.
“Seagate representatives have told us that the information posted was ‘very premature’ and was not be posted on the website for several weeks.”
