There really are not any true details on Jiristech’s new security product besides the picture. The JCP1000 seems to be a computer mounted, add-on, accessory that acts as a facial/iris scanner for security purposes. In case fingerprint readers are not secure enough for you (you know, watching too many MI movies where they fake fingerprints), this may be a viable option. It’s a webcam with biometric abilities: as you sit in front of a locked computer and place your face within the 15-20cm working range, it’ll scan your irises in one second flat, and give access if authorised. So unless your worried that someone may cut out your eye (Minority Report), I think will will be secure enough.
