With gasoline prices on the rise and extreme discord in oil producing nations it seems almost rudimentary that we would be looking for other alternatives to gasoline cars. As a nation, we are, more than 140,000 Prius’, a hybrid electric car, were sold this year. However, the electric car has been around since 1996, in that time it should have experienced a larger surge and increased in popularity. This documentary endeavors to educate audiences with the story and history of the car in relation to our cultures continuing addiction to foreign oil.

History repeats itself… Around the 1900's electric automobiles were around in city streets as well. Gasoline engines at that time were thought of as smelly, noisy and dangerous. Thomas Edison delivered special batteries for electric cars so you could drive longer. But alas… it wasn't meant to be.
