Samsung brings the magic to 17 and 19 inch LCD monitors

Samsung has updated the ante with two new LCD computer monitors. The 17- and 19-inch LCD monitors, the SyncMaster 740BX and the SyncMaster 940BX offer a 1000:1 contrast ratio, 5ms response time, today’s standard 1280×1024 resolution, 170-degree horizontal viewing angle, analog and DVI interface, as well as three magical Samsung technologies. Both the 740BX and the 940BX have a height adjustable stand that pivots and swivels, as well as an ultra-thin bezel, great for tiling a pair of these side-by-side.

The Samsung magic technologies (MagicBrightII, MagicColor and MagicTune) go one step further to optimize your viewing experience. MagicBrightII automatically optimizes brightness and contrast based on the specific application with the push of a button reducing eyestrain for text, internet, sports, movie, game and custom viewing. MagicColor correct the often poorly shaded colors with two modes: Full (overall enhancement) and Intelligent (enhances color without affecting delicate skin tones). Finally, MagicTune is an on-screen interface that allows you to use your mouse to control all their Magic Technology picture adjustments, as opposed to the tiny, illegible, multi-functions buttons found on most monitors.

The 17” 740BX is $249.99 and you can get two more inches, the 940x for $60 more dollars, setting you back $309.99.
