T-Mobile and Nikon are rolling out a new service that will allow owners of the Nikon Coolpix S7c WiFi digital camera to upload their pictures to T-Mobile’s servers via their HotSpots. With the new offering, called Coolpix Connect, consumers can also email their photos directly from the camera. The service allows users to send up to 50MB of images to the T-Mobile server, where the pictures will be stored for up to two weeks.
Consumers that purchase the 7.1 megapixel Nikon Coolpix S7c will receive 1 year of the Coolpix Connect service for free. A similar camera is the Kodak EasyShare One, which has an optional SD WiFi card for $99 (and works on virtually any WiFi network – even your home one).
