Have you ever been in a meeting and wanted to show everyone your mobile device’s screen? Project-a-phone has got just the product for you with their new ICD-5000 Image Capture and Display system. The device allows users to mount their cellphone, PDA, or even MP3 player – and project the device’s display onto any computer monitor, projector, or TV. Project-a-phone says that the ICD-5000 is targeted at industry professionals in sales, marketing, application development, and advertising. In the past, they launched their ICD-3000, which features a 640×480 capture device. The new 5000 model has a 5.17 megapixel device that captures screenshots up to 3.15 megapixels.
If you remember back at CES, Bill Gates was talking about the future of mobile devices and how soon, you’ll be able to set your phone on a table and it will project the picture on the wall or a big screen. I’d say this device is pretty close to meeting that concept already. You can pick one up on Project-a-phone’s website for $395.
