After years of security holes, months of beta testing, and weeks of promotion Microsoft has released the final version of Internet Explorer 7. For you keeping score, the build number is 7.0.5730.11 and the program comes in at 15MB. If you are running a previous version, such as IE 7 RC1, on Windows XP you will not have to uninstall that in order to upgrade to this version (which IE7 will do automatically). There really isn’t anything too new in this version that we haven’t discussed in the past. Think of this as a slight move away from holes/worms/virus/security vulnerabilities and a sneak-peek at Vista, but I am sticking to Firefox 2.0.
