Now that we’ve everything but a confirmation from Apple on the new iPhone (or whatever it will be called), analysts are already making mention of a second version. This device would be loaded with Apple’s iChat software (“iChat mobile”?), according to Shaw Wu of American Technology Research, and instant messaging will be the primary focus, instead of email. So in essence, it will be just like a Crackberry, but with IM instead of email. Their development of iChat mobile is along the same lines as what we heard earlier today about Apple working on lite versions of their desktop software.
