Antec, best known for making computer components, has released EarthWatts, a line of energy efficient, “environmentally friendly” PC power supplies. It is available in three models of 380, 430 and 500 Watts and are all 80 PLUS certified, which basically means that for any load between 20% and 100%, the power supply is working at 80% efficiency. This should help cut a few cents from your electric bill and keep the system slightly cooler, thereby using even less electricity. The power supplies cost $50 to $125 depending on the model and store.
Each model includes:
80mm low noise cooling fan
Dual 12V outputs: 12V2 for Motherboard and peripherals; 12V1 for processor
Industrial-grade protection circuitry prevents damage resulting from short circuits, power overloads, over voltage, and under voltage
80 PLUS® certified
4 SATA connectors
PCI-E connector: one for 380W and 430W, two for 500W
