uPluspen tablet input device
Here’s a pretty cool accessory to give your graphics designer: the uPlusPen, a digital pen input device that captures movement and transmits it in real time to your PC.

The uPlusPen differs from tablet pen/pencils because while the device that usually transfers data to the PC is the tablet itself, in this case, the pen directly transmits data to the PC. So, by eliminating the tablet from the equation, there’s one less possible interference in the way data is interpreted at the end. Although there are high end tablet pencil models that have great sensitivity and accurate representation of hand gestures, their prices are quite extreme for an accessory. By eliminating the tablet and bypassing it as a receptor device, I’d say the uPlusPen will probably come in at a more affordable price than these previous tablet pencil models.

The device itself looks very interesting, as it simulates a real pen/pencil and should be a welcome relief to designers who are used to relying on inaccurate mouse movements to draw on-screen. If the pen does indeed accurately mirror a user’s hand movement on-screen (and if it’s released at an affordable price), then it is one great product to have around.
